2018 MLK Service Day – St. Mark’s Church

2018 MLK Service Day – St. Mark’s Church

Community Partner:  St. Mark’s Church (Sharon Diggs-Jackson, LLBI ’93)

Alumni Captains:  Camille Donnell (LLBI ’16), Karen Mares (YLLB ’14)

Over 50 volunteers came out to do painting and general cleanup duties at St. Mark’s Church in Central Long Beach as part of the MLK Day of Service.  Volunteers painted the fencing around the church and helped with overall beautification of the area between the church and the parking lot.  Young children were able to have a storytime reading when they weren’t helping their parents with the work duties.  Thanks to the volunteers and St. Mark’s Church family for helping out with this service project.
