Leadership Long Beach is accepting applications for its Executive Quick Start (EQS) program for 2010 - an informative “Long Beach Overview’ designed for new and incoming local executives. Participants will develop knowledge of Long Beach, its government, people, business and its diversity. The series will include panel discussions and presentations on the local business community; key companies and individuals; business services; city history and demographics; cultural diversity; educational institutions; the arts and tourism; public safety and government; and health and community services.
EQS program is conducted in just four sessions, held on consecutive Wednesdays in March plus an additional Saturday morning historical bus tour of city. Dinners follow each session at local restaurants.

LLB at MLK Parade
LLB adult and youth alumni marched in the MLK Parade on Saturday, January 16. Alumni made inspirational posters together on the Friday before the parade and gathered the next morning as they marched the entire parade route. Joining our alumni on the parade route were CSULB President F. King Alexander and Mayor Bob Foster as both were interviewed by Youth LLB alumni about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Leadership Long Beach Institute - 2011
The 10-month Leadership Long Beach program is now accepting applications for the Class of 2011. The program will begin with a mandatory class day at the end of August, weekend Big Bear leadership development retreat in September and then continue with the principled leadership, community awareness and development training program until the June 2011 graduation.
