2018-19 LLB Board & Committee Nominations

Call for Nominations!

The Leadership Long Beach Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for individuals to serve on the Board of Directors, especially with expertise in fundraising, marketing, and accounting.

 

Additionally, the committee is accepting nominations from individuals interested in serving on the following organizational committees (Administration, Alumni, Community Affairs, Finance, Fund Development, Governance, Marketing, and Programs) beginning July 1, 2018.

 

Board of Directors positions are three-year terms; committee member positions are for one year.

Alumni and community leaders are encouraged to nominate themselves, or a colleague for a board or committee position.

Nominations are due no later than May 1, 2018.

Board of Directors Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to:

 

General

Actively promote and support LLB

Serve in LLB leadership positions and undertake special tasks when asked

 

Meetings

Attend Board Induction, Board retreat, and Community Welcome Reception

Will attend at least 75% of board meetings, including committees assignments

 

Committees

Serve on at least one committee

Committees include Administration, Alumni, Community Affairs, Finance, Fund Development, Governance, Marketing and Programs

 

Fiscal Responsibility

Understand that the board members is fiscally responsible for the organization

Exercise prudence with the board in control and transfer of funds

 

Fundraising

Remit board dues ($500)

Secure contributions (minimum $500-cash or gift in-kind) annually for the organization

Make a personal financial contribution to the LLB Alumni Campaign

Committee Member Nomination Form

The Board of Directors is looking for interested alumni and community members to serve on board committees to provide their knowledge, expertise and abilities to LLB board committees to further the mission of the organization.  The committees will provide information and support to the Board for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019).
