05 Mar City Hall Day for LLBI Class of 2018

For the Governance and Media Day, the Institute Class of 2018 spent Monday, March 5th at Long Beach City Hall learning more about the state’s 7th largest city and how the city operates to serve the residents.  The class had opportunities to meet, interact and gain insight from Mayor Robert Garcia (LLBI ’03), City Prosecutor Doug Haubert (HBOG), City Auditor Laura Doud (HBOG), and Asst. Attorney Michael Mais from City Attorney Charles Parkin’s office.  These open discussions and holding their own ‘mock council’ session gave the class participants great insight to the city’s functioning government.
