On Thursday, October 25 at the Long Beach Petroleum Club in Bixby Knolls, Leadership Long Beach hosted Mayor Robert Garcia (LLBI ’03) as he gave a presentation on the preview of the 2028 Summer Olympic Games with the venues, events and activities for the Long Beach community.

Over 80 people were in attendance to hear Mayor Garcia speak about the city’s role in making the case for Long Beach to host Olympic competitions with current facilities. As part of the presentation, he spoke about new structures (hotel, beach concession areas) and upgrades (Blue Line, pier) for the Long Beach Sports Park.
