13 Oct Volunteers at the 2019 Jet Blue Long Beach Marathon
Nearly 50 volunteers showed up and served at the 7.5 Mile Water Station of the 2019 Jet Blue Long Beach Marathon on Sunday, October 13. Beginning at 5:00 AM, volunteers prepped the water station to serve the 15,000 participants running, biking and walking the course at the Junipero Beach location. There was plenty of water, electrolyte drink and cheering enthusiasm that was passed out to the half- and full marathoners.
Thanks to LLB Board member Oscar Vasquez (LLBI ’18) for leading this volunteer effort and organizing the volunteers to serve the marathoners on the day of the event. Also, great job by the Institute Class of 2020 for coming out in numbers to volunteer that morning and having the volunteer spirit of Leadership Long Beach!
