Leadership Long Beach is NOT currently accepting applications for its Youth program.

Please review the information below for the general dates we accept applications for our principled leadership programs.

Our Programs

Institute (LLBI)
Program

The Leadership Long Beach Institute (LLBI) program currently runs from late August until June annually.  The program will generally accept between 30 – 35 professional adult individuals who have an interest in learning more about Long Beach, engaging in community issues and activities, and joining a network of other community leaders who are striving to make the city better.

Applications for the program are generally available by March for the upcoming program year that begins in August.  Applications are filled out online through our website.  Interviews are conducted for the accepted spots in the Institute program.

Executive Leadership Series (ELS)
Program

The Executive Leadership Series (ELS) program is generally offered in the months of April and May for a six-week session. The program will generally accept between 8 – 12 executive leaders who want to take their leadership to the next level as well as connect with other executives within Long Beach.

Applications for the program are generally available by mid-January for the upcoming program.  Applications are filled out online through our website.

Youth Leadership Long Beach (YLLB)
Program

The Youth Leadership Long Beach (YLLB) program currently runs from late September until May annually.  The program will generally accept between 30 – 36 high school students who attend Long Beach area high school and are looking to advance their leadership potential.

Applications for the program are generally available by March for the upcoming program year that begins in September.  This year’s application is delayed as we are trying to finalize the youth leadership retreat dates with our vendor.  Applications are filled out online through our website.  Interviews are conducted for the accepted spots in the YLLB program.
