2023 MLK Day of Service
Growing Community: Beautify 4th Street Project
Finding ways to serve our community, despite these unique times
Join us to make it a “Day On, not a Day Off,” on Monday, January 16th as part of the MLK National Day of Service in Long Beach.
The Need We Serve:
This section of businesses along 4th Street is not part of a Business Improvement District and needs some extra community support and love to beautify the area.
How to Serve:
We need your help to plant succulents for participating businesses, paint planter boxes, trash pick up, and street cleaning.
How to Serve:
Community members will help by planting native species, placing ground cover to help prevent weeds, and pulling invasive and non-native plant species to ensure that the native plants thrive.
