2023 MLK Day of Service
Community Care Packages
Donation Drive
Finding ways to serve our community, despite these unique times
Join us to make it a “Day On, not a Day Off,” on Monday, January 17th as part of the MLK National Day of Service in Long Beach.
Community Care Packages
We are partnering with The Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion and the Long Beach Food Support Network to prepare community care packages that will be distributed to residents through a network of food pantries across the city.
The Need We Serve:
The Long Beach Food Support Network is a collection of 9 food pantry partners and 3 neighborhood groups in Long Beach that meet the growing food insecurity needs of underserved communities in our city. In addition to food items, our pantries need personal care items and other items not typically available through food banks.
How We Serve:
We ask community members to donate the following items (either in kits or as individual items) that can then be distributed among our pantries and community groups throughout North, Central, and West Long Beach.
Items can be delivered to LBCEI’s office, 6509 Gundry Ave, Long Beach, 90805, on Mondays from 10am – 2pm, including on MLK Day!
