Foster Youth Supply Drive

Finding ways to serve our community, despite these unique times

Join us to make it a “Day On, not a Day Off,” on Monday, January 16th as part of the MLK National Day of Service in Long Beach.

The Need We Serve:

Foster youth in college-age out of care at 18 years old and must become financially independent and responsible for themselves almost immediately.

How to Serve:

We have been gathering basic needs items and school supplies for the last few months.  On our Day of Service, we will be packaging up these items into backpacks to support 80 Guardian Scholars at CSULB.

Volunteer Details:

Volunteers will need to bring:

  • sun protection, hat, sunblock, sun hat.
  • appropriate clothing; something you don’t mind getting soiled.
  • water.
  • gloves (if you have them).

Volunteers should be able to stand, kneel and bend for long periods and be exposed to the sun and other outdoor elements.

Minimum Age Recommended: 5+
