Darick J. Simpson is a nationally respected nonprofit leader and insightful public speaker. Though born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Darick has lived in Long Beach California over forty years. Currently, he serves as President of highly respected Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation in Long Beach. Darick is known as an innovative Community Collaborator and Advisor to colleagues, students and young professionals that seek his perspective. Darick has served over 25 years in the nonprofit sector in roles that include Executive Director, State and National Community Action Board Member, County of Los Angeles Public Social Service Commissioner, along with myriad local advisory Boards. Throughout his career Darick has established an excellent reputation as a Community Leader with diverse experiences that include business development, community development, youth programs and entertainment. The impact of his leadership is well documented and highly recognized by myriad Awards at the National, County and City Level for service excellence. Darick is also a published Author and former voting member of the Recording Academy for the Grammy Awards. Darick says that he has reached the understanding that his Job is what he does and Inspiring others to seek their best through his words, deeds and actions is who he is. Now he feels very Blessed that the two have merged as one Purpose in life!
